Our story behind the popup

Anna Hoffmann grew up between Germany and the Åland archipelago, immersed in two cultures. Together with Emma Eissler, she envisioned a pop-up restaurant that brings both worlds together through food. Anna first met Emma when they both began their chef apprenticeship at a five-star hotel. Long shifts, hard work, and shared challenges turned them into close friends and a strong kitchen team. After graduating, they took what they had learned and finally began creating their very first restaurant from scratch: Åva Verandan.
